— ATH Tray Bishop
Bishop is set to arrive at UGA Friday and hangout this weekend. He is scheduled to visit Auburn and Florida next week before he makes his decision July 25. Auburn has the edge right now with UGA running a close second. UGA has told Bishop he can play QB, WR or S for them — that it would be his choice. He likes WR the most with UGA due to their QB group and how they can throw the call.
— S Jacoby Stevens
Stevens has no set date, but he is likely to commit by month's end. It not by July 31, then early in August, but all signs point to him being done with recruiting by the end of this month. It is looking like an Alabama-Georgia battle here. Auburn jumped in the race, LSU has always been there, and a few other schools have hung around, but in the end, he will commit to Bama or UGA. Right now, this is tighter than it was months ago, but I still like the Dawgs at this time. I have heard some Bama chatter though just so you are aware.
— LB K.J. Britt
Can Georgia pull this one out of Alabama away from Auburn? They have a real shot. August 6 is the date as of right now that Britt plans to make his decision. He has visited Athens numerous times, he plans to be back this weekend, and it is a UGA-Auburn battle here. He is not flashy, he is not that big, and he is not a five star, but he is a player with instincts, toughness, a motor, and he has really gelled with numerous UGA commits. He was sporting a Bulldog hat out at The Opening as well. It does not mean a thing, but we all know his interest in UGA is there.
— WR Jeremiah Holloman
Like I posted last week, he was close, VERY close to pulling the trigger last week just like he has been before. He just does not want to do what he did before — commit too soon, then go back on his word. When he commits this time, he wants it to be 100-percent. Georgia is still in a very good spot with Holloman. Auburn is next, then Tennessee. He has really connected with Coley and the UGA staff. Honestly, he could commit today, or at any time. I do know it is on his mind and his parents have signed off on it whenever he is ready.
— DL Malik Herring
How long has this one been on this list? Clemson is the only school that has a shot against Georgia here. They have done an excellent job recruiting him and his family. His mother REALLY likes Dabo and the environment he has created at CU. There is no doubt who Malik likes first — the in-state school. They visited both schools in June and they could see each one more time this summer. This is another one that could happen at any time, but Malik is hoping to commit at school the first week school starts in August. We will see how it shakes out.
— RB D'Andre Swift
Swift says he will commit late August-early September, but his father says mid August. We will see. I do know they have already started talking ideas with Bleacher Report on a commitment video that is likely to be shot this month. He is set to visit Alabama and Clemson next week — do not be surprised if he stops by UGA as well. All are chasing the Dawgs right now.
— I was focused on 2017, but don't forget Trevor Lawrence. Planning to visit Clemson and Georgia one more time before making his decision late in July or early in August.
