Former NFL Star Ray Rice to talk w/ UGA Team

ATHENS - Former NFL running back Ray Rice will address the UGA football team on Monday.

That’s according to multiple sources on the team. The talk comes exactly seven days before the Bulldogs start fall camp on August 1st.

Rice was released by the Baltimore Ravens, a team he won a Super Bowl with, and banned from playing in the NFL after hitting his then fiancée in a elevator during the offseason in 2014. Rice has not played in the NFL since.

USA Today reported on Friday that if Rice were to sign and play in the NFL this fall that he would “donate his entire salary in 2016 to organizations with programs focusing on education and prevention of domestic violence and supporting survivors and their families. His motivation is to end his career the right way for his kids and believers, and to try to help others.”
