After Jacob Eason worked with the No. 1 unit on Friday and Saturday, returning starter Greyson Lambert worked with the No. 1 unit on Monday and Tuesday during viewing periods made available for media members.
“It will be a couple more days,” Smart said about if he will name a starter for the Bulldogs’ opener against North Carolina. “(Eason and Lambert) are both moving forward with the game plan.”
On Friday, Eason, Lambert and Brice Ramsey were told where they stood in the QB rotation. And while the media expected Eason to continue with the No. 1 unit, few expected Lambert to rotate in with the No. 1 unit this week even though Smart said on Monday that UGA was “continue getting those guys reps and get both of them ready to play — that's the plan. No starter has been named. We'll continue to practice guys and get those guys ready.”
Smart’s final media obligations this week are not with UGA beat reporters. On Wednesday, Smart will participate in the SEC’s weekly teleconference. Thursday night he will join the “Bulldogs Live” radio show at 7 PM, but will only take questions from fans.
