At least not yet.
UGA spokesman Claude Felton confirmed that returning senior starter Greyson Lambert will start for the Bulldogs on Saturday against North Carolina. He beat out Jacob Eason and Brice Ramsey for the start.
Eason took the bulk of the No. 1 snaps from August 15th through this Monday. That's when Lambert returned to taking the most snaps with the No. 1 unit. Lambert, who started 12 games last season for the Bulldogs and nine for Virginia in 2014, has struggled to produce for the Bulldogs at quarterback. In 2015 the Bulldogs went 10-2 with Lambert as the starter, but he failed to throw for more than 150 yards in 7 of his 12 starts. He was replaced after a shaky performance during UGA's narrow 9-6 win over Missouri. But returned to the starting job in the final four gams of the season.
The future for Eason seems less clear than a week ago when it appeared he was headed to the starting job. The true freshman is still expected to play against North Carolina, but how much is now the question.
On Thursday, the Bulldogs were considered a 2.5-point favorite over North Carolina
