Dawg Post Sunday Update:

Dawg Post reaches out to a few recruiting targets to get their thoughts on the Bulldogs first win of the season.

In a nationally televised game, the Bulldogs got to show off their new team led by first time head coach Kirby Smart, as well as new quarterback Jacob Eason. With the the great Nick Chubb back healthy to start the season, there were plenty of reasons to watch the Bulldogs. There were quite a few Bulldog targets who had good things to say after the game.

Jeremiah Holloman, Newton:

The four-star tweeted "Having a great time with my dawg family #SicEm17". Georgia has a nice lead for Holloman back in the spring, and while they are still sitting in a good spot, Tennessee and Miami are coming hard after the big 6-foot-2 185-pound Georgia target. Holloman is the state's top receiver in 2017.

Trey Blount, Pace Academy:

Blount, a Georgia commit, tweeted throughout the game, ending with "Welcome to a #SmartEra everyone." Blount is the second-ranked receiver in Georgia for 2018.

Nolan Smith, Calvary Baptist:

Smith, a top target in the 2019 class, really liked what he saw in Georgia's new defense. "He (Smart) is a great coach and went to work quick on the defense." Smith said. "I loved when the defense was on the goal line and he made big time calls to force some stops." Smith is a 6-foot-2 210-pound sophomore defense end who holds a Georgia offer already.

Jashawn Sheffield, Frederica Academy:

Sheffield, another top 2019 target, watched the game with some teammates. "Georgia looked good." Sheffield said. "The running backs balled out. Jacob Eason looked good too." Sheffield is a big time athlete at 6-foot-2 175-pounds and already a four-star prospect in the 2019 class. He is deciding on whether to visit Georgia or Florida next weekend.

Christian Armstrong, Warner Robins:

A top lineman in Georgia for the 2018 class, Armstrong said "I thought Georgia showed perseverance which showed the type of team what coach Smart is trying to make them. I visited Auburn yesterday, I'll be at the game in Bristol next weekend, then I'll be at the Georgia/Tennessee game next month,"

Justin Mascoll, South Gwinnett:

A major Bulldog target in the 2018 class, Mascoll tweeted "My dawgs got it done!! #CommitToTheG". Mascoll is a big 6-foot-4 227-pounds defensive end and ranked as a four-star prospect. He is the top defensive end prospect in Georgia for the 2018 class.

Anthony Grant Jr, Buford:

The four-star back told me "Great game by Nick Chubb. I'm hoping to attend a Georgia game soon." No Georgia offer yet, but he is gaining strong interest from major programs across the country.
