Dawg Post Tuesday Update:

Dawg Post gives you an update on Georgia's next opponent, as well at what Georgia targets have done so far this season.

After an impressive win on opening weekend, the Bulldogs play host to Nicholls State this Saturday. The Colones from Louisiana are not a great team, and the Bulldogs should have no problem with them this weekend. State was off last weekn, and will be playing their first game of the 2016 season this weekend. Senior QB Tuskani Figaro looks to be the starter against the Bulldogs this weekend. Figaro started the first 9 games of last season before an injury cost him the rest of the season. He threw for 925 yard and four touchdowns before the injury. Their running back Kaleb Kador is also a name to watch for on offense. The 6-foot 195-pound redshirt freshman rushed for 80 yards on 11 carries during their spring game earlier this year.

During the game, I'm expecting a lot more Jacob Eason at quarterback. This is one of the weaker opponents the Bulldogs will face all year, and will be an excellent opportunity for Eason to get reps before SEC play. I'm expecting a short game for Chubb, and plenty of carries for Holyfield, Herrien, and Douglass. The receivers should have a much better time getting seperation from defenders this Saturday compared to North Carolina. The way the defense played on Saturday, I have no worries about they will play against the Colonels. I'm expecting more of a pass rusher from the edge rushers, as well as a few turnovers.

From a recruiting standpoint, there are plenty of Bulldog commits having a big year in 2016. QB commit Jake Fromm is off to an incredible season so far totaling 886 yards and 6 touchdowns through the first two games. Fromm currently leads the state in passing yards and will play Veterans (GA) this Friday.

Five-star QB Trevor Lawrence is also having a good year so far. Through the first two games, Lawrence threw for 602 yards and six touchdowns. Cartersville takes on Westlake this Friday,

UGA target Jeremiah Holloman has 11 ctaches for 214 yards and three touchdowns according to MAXPreps. Holloman and his Newton team play Peachtree Ridge on Friday.

GAC (GA) athkete Kyler McMichael is being recruited as a running back in the 2018 class, but the junior has totaled 311 rushing yards so far tis season and four touchdowns. McMichael is a top Georgia target in 2018, and the second-ranked safety prospect in Georgia among juniors.

Georgia target Markaviest Bryant has recorded 3.5 sacks and 12 QB hurries so far this season.
