Dean Legge/Dawg Post

Practice Notes - (9/13)

Andrew Stephens recaps Tuesday at practice where the quarterback rotation is in full effect.

I will be doing love video practice recaps on Monday-Wednesay moving forward. Tune into Facebook Live via Georgia Bulldogs on Scout to ask questions/comment that I am, in fact, not Dean Legge.

DEFENSIVE LINE
-Tracy Rocker giving Samuel L. Jackson a run for his money in f bombs dropped in a 5 minute period
-I keep emphasizing this: Jonathan Ledbetter will most likely not be playing anytime soon. Kirby is far more concerned with his off the field progression than on. I'd say 6 games may even be more likely than 4.

LINEBACKERS
-Smith and Patrick still running with 1st team (ILB)
-Carter and Taylor running with 2nd team (ILB)

SECONDARY
-Kirby: "show me that you know what to do"

1st TEAM
-Corners: Briscoe and Parrish
-Safeties: Davis and Sanders
-Star: Smith

2nd TEAM
-Corners: Hardman and Baker
-Safeties: Wilkerson and Mauger
-Star: McGraw

-Choates and Wilson also working behind the safeties in rotational work

OFFENSIVE LINE
-A lot of drill work
-Catalina back in at left tackle
-Projected starters for this weekend: LT Catalina, LG Wynn, C Kublanow, RG Gaillard, RT Pyke

TIGHT ENDS
-Not much but drill work. Woerner has supplanted Jackson Harris in the order during drill work. Now goes Blazevich, Nauta, Woerner, Harris, Davis

QUARTERBACKS
-Drill work rotation went as follows:
--Greyson with Chubb
--Eason with Sony
--Brice with Holyfield

RUNNING BACKS
-Sony looks good in that white practice jersey
-Douglas back in ahead of Herrien during drill work as 4th string RB
-Still no word about Elijah Holyfield

WIDE RECEIVERS
-Nothing of note. Chaney not screaming as much as usual, but definitely issues here to address with so many drops occurring against Nicholls

SPECIAL TEAMS
-Kevin Butler speaking closely again with William Ham. Good to see someone with real experience helping him out.

OTHER
-Funneling in crowd noise to have the team better prepared for this weekend
