Dawg Post Recruiting Scoop

ATHENS - Dawg Post's updates on DeAngelo Gibbs, Matt Landers, Jake Fromm, Leonard Warner, Zamir White and Richard LeCounte

--  Things went very well with DeAngelo Gibbs Tuesday night.  Smart and Tucker spent time at Grayson HS and DeAngelo's father's work during the day, then at the Gibbs home at night.  Gibbs will visit Oklahoma officially this weekend.  If Grayson beats Mill Creek Friday, there is a good chance Gibbs takes an official visit to UGA next weekend after the state championship game.  Things still look good for UGA here.

--  Coley and Chaney spent time with WR commit Matt Landers.  Ole Miss is making a little bit of a push here, and at this time, they are set to host Landers the weekend before signing day for an official visit.  Georgia talked with him last night about changing that and giving UGA the last visit.  Things still look good here, and he seems solid to the Dawgs.  There is no doubt; he is very important to Georgia.

--  I spent time with Jake Fromm and Richard LeCounte Tuesday and it is hard to find two better young men.  They are immediately going to be leaders for the Bulldogs.  I sat down and talked with Fromm for a while... He calls Chaney a "genius" and LeCounte says he is ready to help change the culture at Georgia, and to make all buy in to the hard work it takes to be winners.  I will have interviews with both up in the coming days.  Both are taking their official visits December 9.

--  Leonard Warner will get UGA's attention Wednesday night.  Georgia Tech was in last night and FSU visits Thursday.  Georgia is still in a good spot.  He will take his OV to Georgia this weekend.

--  I have confirmed that 2018 5-Star RB Zamir White is expecting UGA to be at his school Wednesday.

--  Like I mentioned Sunday; keep an eye on Brelin Faison-Walden.  UGA was set to see him Thursday, it was changed to Tuesday, and things went very well.  He is one I am watching close eye on in the coming days to week.

--  I am hearing Tray Bishop may be back in Athens December 9 for an unofficial visit, then take his OV late January.  Florida and Georgia I feel are actually ahead of Auburn right now.

--  It will be a big next two weekends for UGA with official visitors and I will have a preview up Thursday at some point breaking down this week's visitors.
