Dawgs to take on TCU in Liberty Bowl

ATHENS - Georgia pegged to play TCU in Memphis on December 30.

As we wrote last night, Georgia has been tagged by the selection committee to play TCU in the Liberty Bowl on December 30. Freshmen quarterbacks in Athens seem to have a propensity to lead their teams to the Liberty Bowl. Georgia fans saw Aaron Murray lead a 6-6 team into Memphis after a rather disappointing 2010 campaign. This year's game will kick off at 11 am local time.

Georgia has faced TCU three previous times, the most recent being in 1988. Georgia has won by at least 16 points in all three contests.

TCU is headed by Coach Gary Patterson and former Texas A&M QB Kenny Hill at the helm. Their spread offensive attack should be a test on Georgia's secondary, a group that has played relatively well over the course of the season.

Dawg Post will be live from the game, but stay tuned to The Porch for coverage leading up to the contest.
