Georgia Football Recruiting Big Board

ATHENS - With National Signing Day less than ten days away, we take a closer look as to how the Dawgs 2017 recruiting class is shaping up.

With National Signing Day less than ten days away, casual college football fans across the country will beginning clamoring message boards to see what their school's recruiting class is set to look like. Predictions, stalking of family members, and pressuring the local baker to get insight as to where the county's top player is headed is all too customary.

Here, I have laid out all potential commitments to the University of Georgia for the 2017 recruiting cycle. With six early enrollees and a plethora of verbal commitments, National Signing Day will certainly be less drama filled than in year's past. The Dawgs will be looking to players like Aubrey Solomon, Nico Collins, and Markaviest Bryant to close out potentially the deepest recruiting class that Georgia has seen in the history of the .com era.

Please feel free to comment your predictions, theories, and harebrained ideas as to how the Dawgs' class will shake out. Make sure to follow @Dawg_Post and @StephensAndrew on Twitter for any news or breaking announcements.

UGA Recruiting Big Board: 2017 Updated: 1/23/17
Player: Position: Scout Ranking (Nat'l): Hometown: Other Schools Considering: Notes:
Aubrey Solomon DT 11 Leesburg, GA Alabama, Michigan, USC Going to be down to the wire w/ UGA & Bama. Mom loves Saban and plays large part. UGA players recruiting HARD
DeAngelo Gibbs ATH 25 Loganville, GA EARLY ENROLLEE Already on campus. Look for him to work on Grayson teammate Jamyest Williams
Jake Fromm QB 28 Warner Robins, GA EARLY ENROLLEE Already on campus. Along with LeCounte, Georgia's most vocally active recruiters
Tedarrell Slaton OG 32 Plantation, FL Florida, Florida State Florida lean right now. Took an OV to UGA on 1/20. Played OG in HS, but there is talk he wants to play D-Line in college
DeAndre Swift RB 37 Philadelphia, PA HARD COMMIT Solid verbal commitment. Even doubled down on UGA when Michel and Chubb decided to stay another year
Isaiah Wilson OT 42 Brookyln, NY HARD COMMIT Shut down recruitment after committing in December. Could be a Day 1 starter at tackle, an obvious position of need
Richard LeCounte S 43 Hinesville, GA EARLY ENROLLEE Already on campus. Along with Fromm, Georgia's most vocally active recruiters
Andrew Thomas OT 54 Atlanta, GA HARD COMMIT Has shot up a lot of recruiting boards recently. I would imagine he, Wilson, and Hayes will be competing for two OT spots
Jamyest Williams CB 86 Loganville, GA South Carolina  Current South Carolina commit, but has been in Athens the last two weekends. This one will come down to NSD with USC
Walter Grant OLB 100 Cairo, GA HARD COMMIT Solid verbal commitment. Has yet to waver on Georgia since committing in November
Netori Johnson OG 110 Ellenwood, GA HARD COMMIT Solid verbal commitment. I would anticipate he, Dyshon Sims, Solomon Kindley, and Ben Cleveland will compete for an OG spot
D'antne Demery OT 115 Brunswick, GA HARD COMMIT Solid verbal commitment. Interested to see how he fits in the O-Line mix. Could see a move from OT to OG.
Markail Benton ILB 124 Phenix City, AL Alabama Visited Athens last weekend, but seems to be a solid verbal to Alabama, this would be a huge flip and surprise
Jeremiah Holloman WR 136 Covington, GA EARLY ENROLLEE Already on campus. Could make an immediate impact at a position group lacking depth
Markaviest Bryant DE 149 Cordele, GA Auburn, LSU If you hear 'Big Cat', they're talking about Markaviest. Was in Athens two weeks ago. Dawgs leading, but Auburn still around
Tray Bishop ATH 156 Dawson, GA HARD COMMIT Solid verbal commitment after he decommitted from Auburn. I would expect him to play defense
Robert Beal DE 167 Suwanee, GA HARD COMMIT Shut down his recruitment via Twitter last week. There was thought he could welch on UGA commitment for Tallahassee
Nate McBride ILB 173 Vidalia, GA HARD COMMIT Solid verbal commitment. May slip a bit in the early depth charts with Monty Rice aleady enrolled and on campus
Nico Collins WR 178 Pinson, AL Alabama, Michigan Would be a huge win at a position of need. Would also be the 2nd match up of UGA/Bama/Michigan than Dawgs win (Wilson)
Leonard Warner OLB 180 Snellville, GA Stanford, Georgia Tech Loves Stanford and took an OV there last weekend. I don't anticipate UGA taking him and Bryant
Monty Rice ILB 192 Madison, AL EARLY ENROLLEE Already on campus. Has the prototypical run stopping size that Kirby wants at ILB
Jaden Hunter OLB 198 Atlanta, GA HARD COMMIT Solid verbal commitment and has been for a while. UGA legacy and great pipeline to Atlanta
Malik Herring DE 215 Forsyth, GA HARD COMMIT Solid verbal commitment. Has been working with the non-EE guys to finish up this class
Devonte Wyatt DT 226 Decatur, GA SOFT COMMIT - South Carolina One of the only commits that could potentially flip. South Carolina pushing hard. Guy is crazy athletic, DT with sub 4.7 speed
Justin Shaffer OG 239 Ellenwood, GA HARD COMMIT Solid verbal commitment. Has improved greatly over the past six months. High school teammate of Netori Johnson
Ameer Speed CB 240 Jacksonville, FL Virginia Tech, Oregon, North Carolina Georgia has been pushing for him as they look to add one more CB to this class
Tyler Taylor OLB 247 Buford, GA Auburn, Oklahoma, LSU He seems interested in Georgia, but the feeling does not seem mutual. Bryant and Warner seem to be the priorities
Trey Blount WR 254 Atlanta, GA HARD COMMIT Solid verbal commitment. Could develop into a great possession receiver.
Braylon Sanders WR 258 Hogansville, GA App State, Cincinnati, Colorado State His recruitment has been hard to track. Does not have many Power 5 offers. Dawgs still hard after Nico Collins
William Poole CB NR College Park, GA HARD COMMIT Solid verbal commitment. Has been working tirelessly since the beginning of the recruiting process to build this class
Mark Webb WR NR Warminster, PA HARD COMMIT After Swift committed, it appeared Webb would be soon to follow to Athens. Plays much like Blount.
Elijah Blades CB NR Pasadena, CA Florida, Nebraska Current Florida commit. Again, UGA looking to add one more CB in this class
Matt Landers WR NR Saint Petersburg, FL HARD COMMIT Lanky wide out from South Florida. My theory: when in doubt, trust big guys from South Florida
Latavious Brini CB NR Hialeah Gardens, FL South Florida, Miami, Oklahoma Previously decommitted from UGA, but was on campus last weekend. Certainly in the mix with the other CBs
Eric Stokes ATH NR Covington, GA Iowa State, Louisville Visited Athens last weekend. A sub 4.4 guy, but on the smaller side. Would definitely play defense
Aaron Sterling DE NR Tucker, GA South Carolina, Tennessee Sterling looked at UGA early, but it appears he is heading to South Carolina
D'Marcus Hayes OT 5 (JUCO) Mississippi GC College EARLY ENROLLEE I predict that Hayes will start at LT this year for UGA. Has the most experience, seeing he is a JUCO prospect
Walter Palmore DT 85 (JUCO) Eastern Arizona College ECU, Arizona State, California Has been a hard recruitment to follow, but I would be surprised if Palmore ended up in Athens
