Dawg Post Tuesday Recruiting Update:

Dawg Post gives the latest on Georgia Bulldogs recruiting.

The Bulldogs extended an offer to one of the top safety prospects in the country yesterday in Philadelphia native Isheem Young. The Imhotep Charter (PA) playmaker is 5-foot-11 191-pounds and stars at running back as well. He is a four-star prospects and the 30th overall player in the country. Florida, Ohio State, Michigan, among others have also offered. The staff needs to get him on campus soon to have a real chance.

Lassiter defensive back Derrik Allen committed to Notre Dame yesterday. The Irish have been in a great spot for months now, and one of the state’s top prospects decided to pull the trigger. Allen held a Georgia offer, but always felt like he wanted to leave the state of Georgia.

A new prospect to know in the 2018 class is Groves (GA) athlete Stephaun Peters. The rising prospect moved to Georgia this past summer, and his recruitment is starting to pick up after an impressive performance at the Valdosta MVP camp this past weekend. Yesterday, Peters heard from Georgia, Alabama, and Georgia Southern. As a junior, Peters scored 9 touchdowns on offense and tallied 4 interceptions on defense. The 6-foot-2 179-pound receiver ran a 4.48 at the combine, a great time for his size. Look for more teams to start showing interest and offer to start rolling in this spring and summer.

The Bulldogs are still in a good spot with 2018 DB target Quindarious Monday. The big hitting safety has been high on Georgia for a while, and the offer last month was a big one. The Bulldogs might be in a great spot, but Monday will continue to pick up offers and take his visits. The four-star prospect will visit Florida and Florida State this weekend. The Noles are a team to watch as they were one of Monday’s first offers.

2018 linebacker Michael Harris is another prospect that has seen his recruitment pick up recently. Harris was recently offered by Georgia, and the hard hitting inside linebacker was offered by Auburn last night. Harris has the potential to be the top inside linebacker prospect in Georgia for the 2018 class. Look for his offer list to grow this spring and summer.

This upcoming weekend is another big recruiting for the Bulldogs. Multiple big time prospects will be in town including 2019 linebacker King Mwikuta, 2018 DB Christopher Smith, 2018 linebacker Teradja Mitchell and many more. A commitment or two this weekend would not be surprising. The Bulldogs are in a great spot with multiple targets, and some of them will want to grab a spot while they can.
