Dawg Post Saturday Recruiting Update:

Dawg Post gives an update on Georgia Bulldog recruiting.

The Bulldogs extended an offer today to Jensen Beach (FL) safety Jamien Sherwood. The 6-foot-3 200-pound defender also holds offers from Florida, Florida State, Miami, Tennessee, and others.

Georgia also extended an offer to 2018 dual-threat quarterback Joe Milton out of Olympia High School in Orlando, Florida. The Georgia staff is going all out to find a legitimate dual-threat quarterback in 2018 and Milton is a three-star prospect with tremendous upside. He holds offers now from Georgia, Michigan, Miami, Tennessee, and many others.

Elite 2019 DL Travon Walker out of Upson Lee (GA) will be visiting Alabama today. The Bulldogs are high on his list and he is already a national prospect. 2018 four-star receiver Jacob Copeland from Pine Forest (FL) will also be in Tuscaloosa today. Clemson, Alabama, and Florida are in a great spot to land the talented playmaker at this time.

2018 Peach County (GA) receiver Kearis Jackson is visiting Auburn today. Jackson is a major Bulldog target and they could be tough to beat in the end. Georgia could take three receivers in 2018, and are in a great spot for in-state receivers Jackson, Josh Vann, and Marquez Ezzard. Georgia has a great chance to land all three, and that would be a great trio in the 2018 class.

Frederica Academy (GA) cornerback Jaylin Simpson was offered by Auburn today. Simpson is a top cornerback prospect in the 2019 class and is a close friend and teammate of Georgia target Jashawn Sheffield. Simpson does not currently hold a Georgia offer, but he will eventually. He currently holds offers from Ohio State, Florida, Alabama, LSU, Tennessee, and others. 2019 cornerbacks DJ Turner and Jalen Alexander also received offers from Auburn recently. The 2019 class is very deep at cornerback and Auburn is going after the best. Georgia has not offered Turner or Alexander at this point.

2018 DB Trey Dean continues to roll in offers, picking up one from Michigan on Thursday. Dean admits that he does not have a leader or a top group at this time, but it’s clear the Bulldogs are in good shape here. The staff wants to play him at both safety and cornerback.

Future five-star quarterback Harrison Bailey out of Marietta (GA) picked up an offer from Michigan State on his recent visit yesterday. Bailey has been a national prospect since 8th grade, and will be priority recruit for Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and others for the next three years.

One of the fastest rising prospects in Georgia is 2018 Rome (GA) defensive lineman Jamarcus Chatman. The 6-foot-3 261-pounder was recently offered by Florida State, and should be picking up more offers very soon. The Bulldogs have not extended an offer as of yet, but they will eventually. Chatman was one of the best defensive lineman during December’s Rising Seniors game.
