McGarity: UGA Not Replacing Mark Fox

ATHENS - UGA's athletics director is denying a report raising questions about Mark Fox's future at UGA.

“In response to the report by Yahoo Sports, we are NOT in the process of exploring our options to replace Mark Fox. We look forward to Mark leading our program next year and all of our efforts are centered on postseason play. It’s unfortunate we need to respond at this time, but it was necessary to quiet these unfounded rumors.”

McGarity has repeatedly denied comment on Fox's future to local reporters, saying that he will make comment at the end of the season. But the Bulldogs enter the SEC Tournament needing to win it in order to qualify for the NCAA Tournament. The Yahoo report, coming from national columnist Pat Forde, wrote: "Georgia is exploring its options to replace Mark Fox, according to sources."
