Top Five Players That Stood out at Practice Thursday...
.) Isaiah Wynn, LT: He looked like a huge upgrade from Tyler Catalina today. He never got beat in pass-rush and was getting out wide on screen passes to help block for the receiver.
.) Richard LeCounte, DB: The freshman was running with the ones today at corner, and was doing an exceptional job. He had an impressive interception on Sam Vaughn early in team drills.
.) Nick Chubb, RB: Maybe it's just because they weren't wearing pads today, but it looks like Chubb has lost some weight, and that showed in his movement. He seemed a lot quicker in and out of cuts, which also shows that he's starting to trust his knee a little more.
.) Deangelo Gibbs, DB: Gibbs was manning the corner spot opposite of LeCounte today, and while he didn't get an interception, he was locking down whichever receiver came his way. He showed today that he has the quickness to play at the corner position.
.) Jonathan Ledbetter, DE: In one-on-one pass-rush drills, he absolutely embarrassed Ben Cleveland, beating him right off the line and leaving him in the dust. And when they moved to the full-team drills, he continued to dominate, consistently bursting into the backfield.
