Dawg Post Insider Recruiting Notes:

Dawg Post gives an update on the latest Georgia recruiting news.

Yesterday the Bulldogs offered a very intriguing player in Grayson linebacker Kevin Harris. Another talented 2019 prospect, Harris is a freak of an athlete and will likely continue to pile up offers the next few weeks. At 6-foot-5 215-pounds, he’s in the process of getting bigger and stronger, and will likely have a breakout junior season this fall. I saw him working out at a training facility recently, and he certainly looks the part. He’s got long arms and will be a force on the edge for the Rams this fall alongside linebacker Owen Pappoe. Harris’ offer list will blow up soon, so this was a smart offer here by the staff to get in the mix early.

Georgia target Trey Dean was very impressive at the Under Armour Camp on Sunday, and after the camp, South Carolina head coach Will Muschamp came up to Dean and said “Come lead the class”. The Gamecocks are recruiting him hard and have made him a priority. Dean had a nice visit to Georgia on Monday, and will be at Alabama today.

Troup County (GA) duo Kobe Hudson and King Mwikuta are both coming off a successful visit to Georgia from this weekend. The Bulldogs made some ground with both players, and head coach Kirby Smart made quite the impression on Hudson’s parents. The two visited Auburn yesterday and will visit Alabama today. Alabama looks to be the early favorites at the moment for both.

Marietta duo Azeez and BJ Ojulari both took visits to Georgia this weekend. Azeez is a long and lean weakside defensive end was outstanding during the Atlanta Opening, and will start to see his recruitment continue to pick up. The staff did not offer, but they want to see him come up for a camp later this spring and will likely offer then. BJ plays outside linebacker but will likely move to defensive end down the road. He has a chance to be a top prospect in the 2020 class. Both grew up watching the Bulldogs so an offer would be huge for both down the road.

2019 Blessed Trinity (GA) athlete Steele Chambers visited Georgia recently, and while he did not leave with an offer, there is certainly mutual interest. Chambers could be bruising back at the next level with his 6-foot-2 215-pound frame but could play safety or outside linebacker at the next level.

Miller Grove (GA) running back Deondre Jackson was in my update a few weeks ago titled “2020 under the Radar” prospects. Well, he’s not so under the radar any more after picking up offers from Alabama and Tennessee. Look for him to continue picking up offers this spring and become a national prospect soon. This 2020 class in Georgia is turning out to be special early on.

A tight end prospect to know is Johns Creek (GA) TE Tommy Tremble. The 6-foot-4 225-pound Tremble has recently picked up offers from Minnesota, Maryland, Colorado State, Vanderbilt, and Tennessee. Tremble will visit Georgia this Saturday and Tennessee the following weekend.

2018 target Chris Smith is coming off visits to Michigan, Michigan State, and Ohio State. The Buckeyes offered Smith on his visit, and the Michigan visit went very well also. Georgia is still in a great spot for the four-star cornerback.
