Elite GA Showcase Preview:

Dawg Post previews the Elite Georgia Showcase on Saturday.

As camp season proceeds, many top prospects display their talents against the best around to prove they are worthy of major scholarship offers. One of the best camps to showcase their skills is the Elite Georgia Showcase. Multiple high level prospects over the years have competed at this camp, and many of today’s campers will become impact players at the next level. Here’s a preview of the next group of elite prospects who will put their talent on display this Saturday in Rossville, Georgia.

Jalen Alexander: The talented Grayson (GA) product has had a great spring so far, picking up offers from Auburn, South Carolina, Syracuse, and Iowa State. He’s not the biggest cornerback around, but he’s tough, has natural cornerback instincts, and can stick with any receiver in the state. Look for him to become one of the top cornerback prospects in the country for the 2019 class.

Thurman Geathers: The outside linebacker out of North Cobb (GA) is one of the top lineman in Georgia, and still making a name for himself. He’s quick off the ball, and shows a relentless motor on film. IN his junior year, Geathers recorded 77 tackles and 15 sacks. He’s been offered by Indiana, NC State, Kansas State, Georgia Southern, among others.

T Lee:  Only a 2020 prospect, this young cornerback out of Chattahoochee is already becoming a national prospect with offers from UCLA and Central Florida. Like the other cornerbacks that train under Elite Talent Sports CEO Derrick Tatum, Lee has outstanding cover skills, and plays with all the confidence in the world. Look for him to become one of the top cornerback prospects in the country for the 2020 class.

Dequan Mosley: The 2018 Woodland (GA) cornerback might be the most underrated prospect in the state of Georgia. He’s not the biggest guy, but he has excellent teqnichue in coverage, he loves to compete, and has tremendous ball skills. He’s quick, agile, and does a great job of handling bigger receivers. He was impressive at the Lovejoy MVP camp earlier this spring, and would have multiple D1 offers if he were a little taller.

Jalen Huff: The defensive back out of Athens Academy is another 2020 prospect on the rise. He was productive last season at the varsity level, and just picked up his first offer from Louisiana Tech.

BJ Riley: Riley is an under the radar receiver who has really impressed this camp circuit. He’s a little smaller, but is a dangerous weapon in the slot. He changes directions quickly, shows great hands, and has been tough to cover for anyone all spring.

Quarterbacks Luke Shiflett and Jacob Brumby will also be in attendance. Shiflett is a productive dual-threat quarterback with offers from Georgia Southern, Troy, Kennesaw State, Columbia, and Mercer. Brumby is a taller, 6-foot-6 pro-style quarterback with a strong arm. Both have impressed so far in the camp circuit and continue to get better.

Other notable prospects in attendance:

2018 DB Markeith Montgomery (Ridgeland): Holds offers from Navy, Air Force, Army, Mercer, Jacksonville, and Austin Peay

2019 DB Jaylin Shelton (Ridgeland): Holds an offer from Navy

2018 OT Dustin Pope (Chattooga): Holds an offer from Austin Peay

2019 ATH Cameron Wynn (Notre Dame): Holds offers from Tennessee, Vanderbilt, FAU, and UTSA

2018 DE Jamel Davis (Red Bank): Holds an offer from UTC
