Kirby Smart Says He wants Will Muschamp to Play for him at UGA

GREENSBORO, GA - UGA coach Kirby Smart was asked which former Bulldog player he would want to play for him, and he knew right away who he would take.

“I think I might go with (South Carolina coach Will) Muschamp to help out a little bit,” Smart said with a sly smile.

Smart was asked which one player from any generation he would want on his football team this year during a media event for the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge charity golf tournament. Smart used his own Kirby Smart Family Foundation as the charity he’s representing during the event, which features a slew of high-level coaches.

“He’s a former player,” continued while explaining his pick of the current South Carolina coach. “He knows the conference well…”

Muschamp is the current head coach of South Carolina, the former head coach of Florida and spent time as defensive coordinator at Auburn and LSU.

“He’s a Dawg,” Smart said to end his statement while giggling. “That will kill him.”
