Late last night, the Bulldogs extended an offer to 2019 Grayson (GA) playmaker Kenyon Jackson. One of the best sophomore receivers in Georgia, Jackson has great size at 6-foot-5 191-pounds, can jump out of the building, had great body control, and displays great athleticism. While he’s growing into a star on the gridiron, he’s also an extremely talented basketball player. Jackson is close friends with other Grayson prospects, and has visited multiple schools with his teammates this spring. Tennessee and LSU have offered, and now the Bulldogs have jumped into the mix. Keep a close eye on his recruitment moving forward.
Speaking of Grayson’s 2019 class, the Kentucky Wildcats offered nine Grayson sophomores this morning. The entire class is talented, and most will play major college football at the next level. Florida State has three Grayson players committed, with more possibly on the way soon.
The Georgia staff also extended an offer yesterday to three-star cornerback Jemaurian Jones. The Misssissippi State native holds offers from Florida State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, among others.
Four-star defensive tackle Ishmael Sopsher of Amite (LA) also received an offer from Georgia yesterday. The massive 6-foot-4 294-pound defender is one of the top prospects in the south for the 2019 class. Alabama, Tennessee, LSU, Ole Miss, among others have offered so far. Sopsher has the potential to be a five-star prospect down the road.
A 2020 prospect to know for the future is Woodward Academy athlete Dawson Ellington. The 5-foot-11 181-pound Ellington was only one of two freshmen to make the Underclassmen Best on Best Showcase at the Charlotte Opening Regional this past weekend. Louisville has offered, and more are likely on the way. Look for Ellington to be one of the highest ranked athletes in the 2020 class.
Another prospect to know is Tift County (GA) junior Andrew Johnson. The 6-foot-4 235-pound defensive end holds a Georgia offer, and could turn into a major target for the Bulldogs very soon. Florida State recently offered, and more should be on the way.
