Georgia Offers In State 2018 OL:

Dawg Post gives the latest on UGA recruiting news.

Yesterday the Georgia staff extended an offer to Macon County offensive guard Christian Meadows. The four-star lineman was very impressive last year at multiple camps, and saw his recruitment pick up before his junior season. Meadows participated at the final Kirby Smart camp last summer, and left without an offer. He was always on Georgia’s radar, and now the current Florida State commit has an offer from the in-state Bulldogs.

A 2020 prospect whose recruitment continues to pick up is Carrollton (GA) outside linebacker Kevin Swint. The 6-foot-3 210-pound freshman has picked up multiple offers recently including LSU, Michigan, Miami, and Tennessee. Clemson came by his school yesterday but the reigning champs did not extend an offer. Look for the Tigers to offer eventually, along with many top programs across the country. The Georgia Bulldogs offered early in his recruitment, and the home state school is in a great spot early for one of the top freshman linebackers in the country.

A wide receiver to know for the future is Grayson (GA) receiver Jaquavius Lane. The Bulldogs would like to take three receivers in the 2018 class, and if their top targets Kearis Jackson and Marquez Ezzard commit elsewhere, Lane could be a prospect who gets a closer look down the road. He came on strong at the end of last season, has elite speed, and was a big part of the Rams championship season last fall. Lane has picked up offers from Louisville, Marshall, Buffalo, and Kansas State have recently offered, with more likely on the way.

Marietta (GA) defender Azeez Ojulai continues to see his recruitment take off as he picks up recent offers from LSU and Mississippi State. Georgia offered the 2018 prospect as an outside linebacker, but at 6-foot-3 230-pounds, Ojulari could grow into a defensive end at the next level. Georgia needs to make Ojulari a priority moving forward, as he is one of the top uncommitted pass rushers in the state. Look for the staff to continue recruiting Adam Anderson and Brenton Cox hard as well.

Carver (GA) safety Quindarious Monday picked up an offer from Louisville earlier today. Monday has become one of the top safety prospects in the state the past few months, and has an offer list to back it up. Auburn looks to be Monday’s leader at this time.
