UGA makes top group for 4-star DE:

Dawg Post gives the latest on UGA news and recruiting.

The Georgia staff got some good news recently as the Bulldogs made the top group for 4-star DE target Caleb Tannor of Miller Grove (GA). The in-state prospect came out with a top 5 including Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, and LSU. Georgia needs quality pass rushers in this class, and while Adam Anderson and Brenton Cox  committed elsewhere, Tannor become even more important in this 2018 class. Look for the Georgia staff to turn up the heat on Tannor moving forward.

5-star defensive back target Tyreke Johnson was in Athens this weekend and it was an important one for both parties. I've been told Florida has dropped down his list recently, and the Florida staff did not swing by his school this spring. UCLA is a major player here, but it looks like Georgia is in a great spot as of today. With his size, length, and athleticism, Johnson will be able to play all over the secondary if he decides to play in Athens.

Georgia tight end target John FitzPatrick of Marist (GA) was also in Athens this weekend with his dad. The three-star prospect is quiet when it comes to recruiting, but admitted that he had a "great time" on his visit. The 6-foot-7 225-pound target visited Georgia last month for their G-day scrimmage, and a decision could likely come this summer.

Hillgrove (GA) athlete Jaylen McCollough is a top target in the 2019 class and he was in Athens this weekend as well. The four-star prospect knows he is a priority for Georgia, and the Bulldogs are "still high" on his list of schools. McCollough is close with many elite prospects in the 2019 class, and will likely take more visits this summer. McCollough admitted that a decision could come around this time next year. Florida State and Alabama are also high on McCollough's list at this time/

2018 defensive line target Kingsley Enagbare was in Athens this weekend as well, which is big news for the Bullldogs. The Hapeville Charter (GA) prospect has had a big spring, and has turned into a big UGA target the past few weeks. UGA is his "dream school", and while his teammate Chris Smith is already committed to Georgia, Enagbare admitted that Smith is rectuiting him, but "not that hard". Enagbare narrowed his top group of schools on Friday, and could make a decision sometime this summer.
