One of the top overall prospects in the 2019 class, Dominick Blaylock exploded onto the recruiting scene as a freshman and quickly became a top target for schools across the country. Blaylock is a humble guy who doesn't seek out attention, but his play on the field is easy to notice. Schools including Georgia, Clemson and Auburn have caught Blaylock's attention early.
"I like Auburn and the staff they have over there." Blaylock said. "I enjoyed the campus and feels it's a great school. I've been to Auburn twice in the last few months and about five times in my life. Coach Tim Horton and Coach Kodi Burns are recruiting me at Auburn."
The Georgia Bulldogs have made Blaylock a top priority, and the the 6-foot-1 185-pound receiver has a lot of interest in the home state school.
" I usually hear from wide receivers coach James Coley at Georgia." He's a good receiver coach and has coached guys to the NFL. `Coach Kirby Smart is a joker but he's a good coach as well. I visited Georgia with my family a couple of weeks ago and saw the campus and coaches. I've seen everything at Georgia. They think I would be great as a slot receiver."
Clemson is another schools in the mix for the talented athlete.
"They have some great coaches at Clemson. The campus is nice and I enjoyed my visits there."
Blaylock has made numerous friends through baseball and football, and has developed a close relationship with Blessed Trinity (GA) linebacker JD Bertrand and Kennesaw Mountain (GA) tight end Ryland Goede. All three hold Georgia offers.
"I'd say 95% chance that we all go to the same school. We do talk about playing together and we go on visits together." Blaylock said. "We have visited Auburn, Clemson, Georgia and South Carolina."
Look for a decision to come later this summer.
