Top GA WR Talks Noles and Dawgs

Demiko Goodman is the reigning 400-meter champion in the state of Georgia. The 6-foot-4 and 185 pound wide receiver from Newnan (GA) is also creating quite a buzz on the gridiron. Several colleges have taken notice.

Demiko Goodman has offers from Florida State, Georgia, Auburn Maryland, North Carolina State and South Carolina.

"Growing up my two favorite teams were Florida State and Georgia," Goodman, who has 16 catches for 276 yards and four touchdowns through three games, said. "Right now I'm open."

So far this season the Newnan high school senior has already taken in games at Georgia and Auburn twice. Next up for him is an unofficial visit to Tallahassee on October 11th when the Noles square off against the Miami Hurricanes.

What does he like about the Noles and Dawgs?

"Florida State is about two hours from my home," he said. "I've talked to their coach (Allen) and I like him. I've also talked to their track coach. Georgia isn't too far from home and I like their football and track programs. I also like their academics."

Goodman is the teammate of star defensive tackle Earnest Mitchell, who is rumored to be leaning towards playing his college ball in Tallahassee. Are the teammates a package deal?

"We've talked about it and it's a possibility but we just don't know yet." Goodman said.

Goodman is on track to fully qualify academically.
