FB/LB Brannan Southerland has been one of the hottest names on recruiting boards since the season got underway. He is a member of the South Hot 100 and the Georgia Hot 100. Southerland headed south this weekend to check out one of his favorites.

"I went down to FSU on Saturday for an unofficial. Other than the weather and them losing, it was a good visit," Southerland said. "They have some construction going on with the facilities, and when it's over it should be very nice."

After an unofficial to Georgia a week ago, Brannan gave the Dawgs a slight lead. Has anything changed?

"Right now it's pretty even with my top five. I still like Georgia, Florida State, Auburn, Oklahoma, and Notre Dame. I've only set two official visits so far, and I've already been to Notre Dame. On November 7th, I'm headed to see Oklahoma."

While Southerland is still undecided, he has gotten some advice from a friend who's been through all of this before.

"I've talked with Micah Andrews (Wake Forest freshmen, and GAC alumnus) about what to expect on the visits and stuff. Basically, he just told me that I'd find the perfect place and fall in love with it. He told me that it would be obvious once I saw it."

Brannan will know his decision when he sees it, but for the thousands of fans he leaves in turmoil over his final choice, they will have to wait...
