Big GA DT talks favorites

Frank Morton has helped to turn his Southwest Dekalb team around after an 0-2 Start. He has a load of scholarship offers, and he talks favorites.

After and 0-2 Start, Southwest Dekalb has turned into one of the hottest teams in the state after reeling off five straight wins. Frank Morton is a big reason why. The Panthers' big defensive tackle has racked up 103 tackles and 18 tackles for loss in just seven games on the season. Even in Southwest's loss to Marist, Morton was a fixture in the offensive backfield.

Predictably, Morton has several offers to choose from, and he is taking his time sorting out his options.

"I want to take official visits for sure to Oklahoma State, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Arkansas," said Morton. "I want to take my official visit at least three hours away from home, because I can drive to any unofficials I want to take. We've been playing a lot of Saturday games, so I haven't gotten to many games lately. I did get to Auburn/Mississippi State last weekend, and some of my teammates and I are going to Georgia Tech/Maryland on Thursday night."

"I'm still looking at some teams closer to home like Auburn and Georgia too. Georgia, FSU, and Miami are about the only teams in the SEC or ACC that haven't offered me yet, but Georgia is talking about bringing me in for an official visit."

Morton is not in any hurry to make a decision, and he is currently focused on getting the Panthers deep into the playoffs this year. Southwest Dekalb's showdown with Douglass on Halloween is looking like a game that local high school fans will not want to miss.
