Jennings must step up and fill in his role immediately.
"Big players come through at tough times," said Jennings. "This is my opportunity to help the team win. I am very excited about the situation."
Jennings said that he got a phone call on Sunday night from Georgia secondary coach Willie Martinez. Martinez explained to Jennings that he would be starting against Florida as Bryant's injury was very serious.
"Coach Martinez called me Sunday night and said ‘it's your time to step up'. I took everything positively. He talked to me about Decory and he was very positive about everything. He told me that everyone is confident in me. They believe that I can get the job done," he said.
Jennings had a great game against Florida last season. His interception of Rex Grossman's pass nearly swung the game in Georgia's favor for good.
"I had a good game last year against Florida and I hope to come big against a good Florida team this weekend," Jennings said.
