Cedric Hodges is an electrifying running back that can play wide receiver on the next level. He has been waiting on an Georgia offer, and he got one.

Cedric Hodges had been waiting on one specific offer for quite a long time, and when the chance arose, he jumped at the opportunity.

"I got an offer from Georgia two weeks ago, and I committed to them last week. This is really what I've been hoping for all along."

"It came down to Georgia and Florida State. Georgia has just been my favorite school since I was a kid."

Who recruited Hodges for the Dawgs?

"Coach Johnson is the coach that covers my school. I like him alot."

What position will Cedric play in Athens?

"I'm not sure where I'm going to play yet. They said wide receiver, running back, or defensive back. I don't really care, I'm just happy to be at UGA."

Hodges still plans to take a few visits.

"I'll still visit FSU and MTSU most likely, but I'm committed to Georgia without a doubt."

Cedric will take an unofficial visit to Athens this weekend for their big showdown with Auburn. He is Georgia's 8th public commitment in the class of 2004.
