One of Georgia's Top Athletes names Leaders

Erik Walden is as elusive off the field as he is on the field, but Ryan Jordan tracked him down last night. Walden has two big offers, and he names two clear leaders.

Erik Walden is a big time QB/WR prospect out of undefeated Thomas County Central High School. He boasts 3 big time offers as well.

"I like Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Middle Tennessee right now. UF, UGA, and MTSU have all offered me a scholarship."

Do any of those 4 schools stand out so far?

"Georgia and Florida are probably my two leaders currently. It's pretty much down to those two."

What does Walden like about each of his favorites?

Georgia: "The tradition man. Just the entire place up there."
Florida: "I basically like them for their playing style. It's real wide open, and I like that a lot."

Coach Callaway is after Walden for the Dawgs, and Coach Cromartie is after Walden for the Gators, respectively. Erik has 642yds passing on 31 of 62 attempts this season. He also has 772yds on 102 rushing attempts as well. Every school on his list is recruiting him as a WR/QB.

TCC was runner-up in GA Class-AAAA last season, and they appear poised to make another lengthy run in the state playoffs, although Walden will miss some time.
