Quick Hitters: Michael Johnson

With the win Georgia clinched at least a share of the SEC East championship; the locker room following the game hardly felt like the Dawgs has just won a championship.

"It's a great feeling have a chance to go back to the SEC championship game," said Georgia's Michael Johnson. "We are going to Atlanta to play Georgia Tech hoping that we have one more week back in Atlanta."

If Johnson and the rest of the 2003 seniors can pull of a win in Atlanta two weeks in a row they will be the most successful senior class since the 1982 seniors left Athens.

"I thought about all of the memories that we had and a lot of the times that we had. I thought about my fellow teammates that couldn't play. We were playing for them and that was a great feeling," Johnson said of senior day in Athens the other day.

"To see my Mom out there smiling with my brothers and sisters… it was a great feeling and I wish that they were out there every game," he said. "Coach Richt let me know that the first play was coming my way. He wanted me to make my family proud."

With the win Georgia clinched at least a share of the SEC East championship; the locker room following the game hardly felt like the Dawgs has just won a championship.

"The Tech game will determine if we clinch the SEC East," said Johnson. "We have to beat Tech to get to the Dome and we know that. We will be prepared to play Georgia Tech."
