Georgia Commit takes Official to Auburn.

#1 defensive end Charles Johnson committed to the Georgia Bulldogs shortly after signing day 2003. He has always maintained that he would take some official visits however, and last weekend he did just that.

"I went to Auburn for an official visit. It was straight. I liked how exciting it was," Charles Johnson said.

What was the Peach State Stud's favorite part?

"Probably when Caddy scored on the 3rd play. It was pretty hype then."

What did Johnson do on his visit?

"We left Friday after my playoff game and we went out when I got there. Kevis Burnam from Macon County was my host. We toured campus and watched the game on Saturday. Sunday we ate breakfast and met with the coaches. Then I went home."

How did his visit on the Plains, compare with his unofficials to the Classic City?

"I don't know. I just like Georgia better. Just everything with the school and all."

Is Charles still firm on his commitment to Georgia?

"Yeah. I'm 95% sure I'm going to Georgia."

Johnson plans to take two official visits to Georgia and Florida in the month of January, although he has yet to set the dates. His Hawkinsville squad takes on pesky Miller County, and fellow Peach State star Brandon Miller this Friday evening.
