Top GA LB Back from UF/FSU Battle

LB Josh Johnson helped lead his Stephenson Jaguars to a very heated win over Harrison High School in the 2nd round of the GA State playoffs last Friday night. He is involved in a just as heated battle off the field as well, as five of the top teams in south go head to head for his signature. Who made the cut?

"I like Miami, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina. I have offers from everyone of those," Josh Johnson said.

On Saturday he tripped south to check out the big battle in the Sunshine state between the Gators and the Noles. What did he think?

"It was nice. The crowd was packed, and the atmosphere was really good. I had a better time than I did on my other trips (GT & UGA)."

Might that give Florida the advantage?

"Florida and Miami are losing 'backers, and I think I could play early there. That's a big advantage for them. It's important to me, and they are also recruiting me the hardest with South Carolina."

Where will Josh set visits?

"I'm going to Miami on December 12th, Florida on January 16th, and South Carolina on January 23rd. I'm trying to set one with Georgia, but they never let me know. They don't mention dates to me when they call."

Stephenson goes on the road this weekend to face #1 ranked Camden in the 3rd round of the AAAAA playoffs.
