Helps engineer HUGE Playoff Win

Demiko Goodman's Newnan team pulled off a huge win on Friday night. Goodman's recruiting is still in full swing... what's the latest?

WR Demiko Goodman and his Newnan Cougars pulled off one of the more shocking upsets in the AAAAA round of 16 on Friday night, when they knocked off Northside-Warner Robins on the road. How did they do it?

"We just played hard and things went our way. I had a couple of catches in the first quarter but I pulled my groin. I've pulled hamstrings in track before, but nothing compares to the groin thing. It hurts right now, but hopefully I can play this week," Goodman said.

Did Demiko attend any of the big intra-state rivalry's in the south this weekend?

"Naw. I just stayed home and rested. I watched Georgia and Georgia Tech, and Georgia just pretty much dominated the whole thing. I watched Florida and Florida State too, and it was just a good game to watch. It was really exciting."

Have things changed amongst his leaders?

"I still like Georgia and FSU. Auburn and Maryland are behind them."

"Coach Garner is recruiting me for Georgia and Coach Allen is recruiting me for FSU. Coach Allen came to my game Friday but left before we spoke or anything. Coach Garner calls a lot, and I like them both about the same."

Goodman has yet to set any official visits. His Newnan Cougars will go on the road once again Friday to face the 3-time defending state champion, Parkview Panthers.
