2 Favorites, but does one have the edge?

Erik Walden has offers from Georgia and Florida. He names Two favorites, but does one have the edge? We caught up with the Star athlete from Thomas County Central.

Erik Walden missed the last couple games of the season with a slight tear in his MCL. He is back now and he is leading his Thomas County Central team on a march back to the Georgia Dome after having vanquished the Thomson team that beat TCC in the State Finals.

"I think I'm at about 85% right now health wise," said Walden. "We played a pretty good overall game against Thomson. I had 169 yards rushing and two touchdowns. I was supposed to go to the Florida/Florida State game on Saturday, but I was a little sore after our game. I just stayed home and rested and watched the games on television."

Walden is an option quarterback for the Yellow Jackets, and his future is likely at another position. Where is he looking the hardest right now?

"I'm setting my official visits after this weekend's game. I'll visit Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Middle Tennessee State. Carson Newman may get a visit as well. Georgia and Florida are my two leaders. I like Georgia a little bit better, but they are pretty even. Everyone is recruiting me at wide receiver and quarterback."

Walden's Yellow Jackets take on M.L. King this Friday night, and they are the favorite to meet the winner of the Shaw/Marist game in the Georgia Dome for the State Semi-Finals. Walden is getting healthier every day, and that's bad news for the opponents.
