Georgia adds Another Commitment

Georgia is battling LSU on the field right now, but they were taking care of business on the recruiting trail last night.

While Georgia is in the process of playing the SEC Championship game, Georgia's newest commitment is busy watching the game at home.

"I committed to Georgia last night," said Antonio Sims. "Coach Martinez offered me a scholarship and I committed. They are recruiting me to play corner and safety. I didn't get to play much defense this year; my team needed me on offense. I had 1,087 yards on 92 carries. I had over 2,000 yards of total offense and 35 tackles on defense."

Sims had very good things to say about his future school.

"Georgia is close to home, and it's easy for my parents and everyone to come see me play. Everyone wanted me to stay home, and I like the atmosphere and the college town. I love Coach Richt, and it's been a lifelong dream for me to be a Georgia Bulldog."

Sims had an impressive list of offers before Georgia finally reeled him in including LSU, North Carolina, Louisville, and Illinois. He had four official visits set up, but it looks like he may only take one.

"I was going to Illinois next weekend, and I am going to Georgia on January 9th. I had North Carolina scheduled too, but I don't think I am going to take any other visits."

While the SEC Championship game is still being waged on the field, the battle for Sims commitment has ended.
