Defensive End Jeremy Lomax has been one of the hottest names in the Peach State in recent weeks. Saturday night, he ended the speculation about his future.

"I committed to Georgia about 10 minutes ago. Coach Garner and Coach Richt came by my house, and I just know it's the place for me. I'm 100% to Georgia," Jeremy Lomax said.

Who else did he consider?

"I had offers from schools like South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Kentucky, Virginia, North Carolina State, and Louisville. I looked at them, but I just like Georgia."

What was holding back his commitment until now?

"I had seen Georgia as a sophomore, and the only bad thing were the dorms. Now, they are building a brand new dorm facility and I will be one of the first guys to stay in it. The whole football team will be in there."

What's the best thing about the Dawgs?

"The coaches and the atmosphere. There's 95,000 seats, and there's 95,000 people in the stands every Saturday. The fans cheer on extra points, just like they do on 50yd touchdowns."

What else does he like about Georgia?

"Their style of play fits me. The defense is awesome and they're just always competing. They were a young team this year, and they still made it all the way to the SEC Championship. It's a place where I know that I can win a title."

What did he think of Richt and Garner?

"Coach Richt is just a great man and a great coach. With Coach Garner, he coaches the defensive line and he has helped guys like Grant, Sullivan, and Pollack all go to the NFL. What else can you say about that?"

Lomax is being brought in as a rush end. The Georgia coaches have told him that his ideal body weight is at 235lbs, and he is working hard to put on those pounds this offseason. He is a big pickup for the Dawgs on the defensive side of the football.
