Adams "Shocked" by Georgia

Chester Adams is a relative new name on the recruiting circuit, but his name is not new to recruiters throughout the south. This weekend he took a trip to check out one of his favorites, the Georgia Bulldogs and the big man returned impressed.

Alabama OT Chester Adams named 4 favorites when we talked last week. This weekend, he tripped to Georgia. Did he come back with a shortened group of leaders?

"I went to Georgia this weekend. It was pretty cool. I really did enjoy it. I would give it a good 9.5," Adams said.

What was Chester's favorite part?

"Hanging out with the coaches and the players. I got to know the coaches a lot better, and I like them a lot. Coach Callaway was telling me how he would like to move Max Jean-Gilles to guard, and that I could come in and play tackle. Nick Jones was my player host and he's pretty cool. A down to earth type person."

What else did Adams do while he was in Athens?

"We toured the campus, and talked to a bunch of professors. I really like the new academic center. It's a great place to study. They have lots of computers, and lots of help for every athlete. I was impressed with their graduation rate for players. It's 70% which is very good."

Did the visit improve Georgia's chances at landing Chester in his mind?

"I think so. It shocked me. It was that nice. I'm not ready to name a leader yet, but I like Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, and Southern Miss. I may make a decision after my 3rd visit, or I may wait until after my 4th visit. I don't know right now."

Chester had a great time in Athens, but in-state powerhouses get the next 2 chances to change his mind, and Chester really likes Southern Mississippi as well. This one could go down to the very end.
