WR Demiko Goodman had been telling people for months that he was down to Georgia and Florida State. That all changed when Goodman took his official visit to Athens this weekend.
"I committed to Georgia. I had been praying about it for a little while. Their coaches were straight with me, and their players gave me good info about the school," Goodman said.
When did he tell the Dawg coaches?
"Right before I left. I was with Coach Richt, my mom, my dad, and my sister. I told Coach Richt I wanted to commit and I kind of suprised my mom because she didn't know I was going to. They were all really happy, and they were giving me hugs and stuff like that."
What all did Demiko do on his trip to Athens?
"T.J. Gartrell was my host and he's a cool person. I got to know him a little bit more from I already knew. We talked to track coaches and stuff like that. I'm trying to get Mike (Michael Grant) to come with me and build the track program. I'm going to call Kenny O'Neal as well, but Mike knows him better than I do."
Will Goodman still visit Tallahassee, or is he through with recruiting?
"I have a visit to FSU on the 24th, but I'll probably not go. I don't think I'll visit anywhere else. I'm solid to Georgia."
Demiko Goodman is the Bulldogs 12th public commitment in the class of 2004
