Lovon Ponder talks about his Georgia Visit.

Lovon Ponder visited Georgia this weekend, and he came back from Athens with two leaders.

Florida safety Lovon Ponder tripped north this weekend to check out the Georgia Bulldogs. How did it go?

"It was ok. I guess it was a nice trip. I'd give it a 6."

What was it exactly that was lacking for Ponder while he was in Athens?

"I don't really know. I didn't really get a feel for the players like I did at N.C. State. They have a real good coaching staff, and my host Greg Blue was cool, but something was missing."

What does Ponder's current leader board look like now?

"I got Miami and N.C. State. They're dead even right now. Then it's Oklahoma and Georgia."

Some people in the industry have felt Ponder has been a strong lean to Miami for quite some time, but Lovon says he's open among his two leaders at this point. The Canes will try to convince him for sure, when he trips to Coral Gables on January 23rd.
