Scoring Summary: Florida 24 Georgia 10

Read how Florida and Georgia scored during Saturday's game in Jacksonville.

The first two interceptions of senior linebacker Boss Bailey's career kept Florida from breaking the game open early. When it was not stopped by penalties and turnovers, however, Florida was impressive in gaining 242 yards in the quarter.

Key stat: Earnest Graham, making his return from an ankle injury that forced him to miss the loss to Auburn two weeks ago, rushed for 85 yards — only one yard shy of his season high — on 11 carries.

Georgia field goal: Billy Bennett 42 kick, 12:35. Drive: 8 plays, 31 yards, 2:03. Key play: On the second play of the drive, set up by a Bailey interception, Fred Gibson ran 14 yards on a reverse play.
Georgia 3, Florida 3
Florida field goal: Jeff Chandler 32 kick, 5:25. Drive: 11 plays, 75 yards, 5:37. Key play: A procedure penalty on a third-and-goal play from the 1 pushed Florida back to the 6, and from there quarterback Rex Grossman couldn't handle a low shotgun snap.

Florida touchdown: Jabar Gaffney 21 pass from Grossman (Chandler kick), 1:46. Drive: 7 plays, 69 yards, 2:25. Key play: Florida had five plays for 12 or more yards. On first down from the 21, Gaffney ran toward the middle of the field, passing cornerback Tim Wansley, and then cut to his left, reaching for the touchdown catch in the left side of the end zone as safety Jermaine Phillips trailed on the play.
Georgia took advantage of Florida's third turnover of the game — a fumble by Gaffney — to tie the game. Florida answered with a long drive at the end of the half.

On fourth and goal from the 1, Grossman went up high and over the top for the score and the halftime lead.
Georgia opened with a 16-play drive that ended at the Florida 6 when an open Verron Haynes couldn't handle a pass from Greene on a fourth-and-2 play. Florida responded with a 54-yard pass to Taylor Jacobs to the Georgia 12, but Graham fumbled on the next play for Florida's fourth turnover.

Bennett missed a 31-yard field-goal attempt — barely wide right — to open the quarter. Later, Georgia was stopped on a fourth-and-13 play from the Florida 36, and the Gators responded with a touchdown for the first points of the half. Georgia executed a fake punt to keep its slim comeback hopes alive, followed by another successful fourth-down play, but soon after lost possession when Greene fumbled when hit by Marquand Manuel.
