Noles making a Push

WR Kenny O'Neal is less than 2 weeks before signing day, and the Oakland star is finding it harder to make a decision than ever before.

"It's tied right now between Georgia and Florida State," Kenny O'Neal said.

What has brought the Noles even with the Dawgs?

"Florida State passes the ball more. Coach Lilly printed up a stat about touchdowns and gave it to me. FSU had 28 passing TD's last year, and Georgia only had 6. That's a big factor."

Kenny also seems to like the coaches at Florida State a bit more right now as well.

"FSU is showing more interest. I have met everyone of their coaches, but I haven't met all of Georgia's. I like FSU's coaches better. They got that drive."

The Dawgs have been putting the pressure on Kenny to make a decision.

"Georgia has 2 scholarships left and they are trying to get me to commit early. Florida State said they'll save a spot for me no matter what. I like that about Florida State."

Kenny says the fact that Florida State just recently started recruiting him will not play a factor.

"Georgia knew me from Benedictine and I don't think FSU did."

How does Kenny feel about playing time at both schools?

"Georgia said I can play next year, because they don't have many receivers. FSU has 4 seniors at Wide Reciever and I've been thinking about redshirting wherever I go anyway. They told me I could play next year if I wanted to as well."

O'Neal says the Noles and Dawgs are even, but I got the impression that FSU is now the clear team to beat. Kenny will visit Tallahassee this weekend, and then make a January 30th trip to LSU before making a final decision.
