North Carolina LB still taking Trips

Dannell Ellerbe is being recruited to play linebacker by several schools. One school has been eliminated, and one school looks like they could hop in the race late. Where does he stand now?

LB Dannell Ellerbe has returned from a weekend trip to the University of Tennessee. How did it go?

"It went good. I'd give it a 9. It was the same as all the others. I'm still all even," Danell Ellerbe said.

Is Ellerbe still visiting the Wolfpack this weekend?

"I don't like North Carolina State anymore. They ran out of scholarships, from what I heard before my Tennessee visit. I'll probably visit North Carolina this weekend instead."

There has been some question about whether Ellerbe projects as a linebacker or safety at the next level. What have the schools been telling him?

"Everybody says they want me at linebacker. Tennessee likes me at Will. Georgia likes me at Sam, and Clemson doesn't really have Will or Sam linebackers. It's more of like a rover."

Danell and Georgia commitment Jamar Bryant had been saying for a while that they are package deal. Could both of the Rockingham stars end up in Athens?

"I don't know. Jamar has been telling me to come to Georgia, but I haven't decided."

What's the most important factor Ellerbe?

"It's academics. I want to major in computer science, and all the schools have that."
