Vandy drops Dawgs

Georgia lost another SEC game tonight by more than 20 points. This time it came on the road against Vanderbilt and the final score was 61-39.

Two things contributed to the loss: the Commodores outmatched Georgia inside and Rashad Wright did not play.

"Their size was more of a factor than I wanted it to be," said Georgia head coach Dennis Felton.

He stressed that this loss shows the importance of recruiting big men for the program. "It is important to get good post players but there are not a lot of them out there," Felton said.

Another problem for Georgia was Rashad Wright's ankle injury.

"I don't know about Rashad playing against Kentucky. He will continue to try to get healthy and we will take it day by day," said Felton.

It was the first time in his career that Wright missed a game.

"I am optimistic that he will be back Saturday. If he can play then he will," added the head coach.
