Top Georgia DL Names Leaders

<b>Justin Mincey</b> says that he has two leaders, but one team clearly looks like the team to beat: <b>"I was just born into it."</b>

"I like Georgia and Florida State. I like FSU because of the way they play, and the tradition. With Georgia, I was just born into it. I grew up a Georgia fan," Justin Mincey said.

When Mincey says he was born into the Bulldog heritage, he isn't lying. The tiny southeast GA town of Folkston, has produced former Dawgs like Champ Bailey, Boss Bailey and Ronald Bailey, along with current Georgia DL Marquis Elmore. In fact, Justin's sister dated Champ through high school and has a child by the Washington Redskins star. Though it seems like Mincey is surrounded by Dawgs, he also has connections to a couple of other schools.

"I'm cousin with Boo Williams who played at South Carolina. I also think I'm related to Jeremy Mincey from Statesboro who signed with Florida, but I don't know how."

Though the Bulldogs and Seminoles hold the early advantage, quite a few other schools have been in contact with Justin as well.

"I got letters from places like Penn State, Virginia, Wisconsin, Florida, Tennessee, and schools like that."

What will Mincey be looking for on his official visits later this year?

"I'm looking for a great education first of all. Somewhere I can have a good life after football."

What are the Charlton County standout's goals for this upcoming year?

"I want to make it back to the State Championship. It feels incomplete when we lost that game last year."

With his already huge frame at 6-6 and 250 pounds, some have speculated that the big DE could eventually grow into a defensive tackle at the next level. Has Justin thought about that?

"The way I eat, it's possible. It doesn't matter to me. I'll play anywhere on the defensive line."

The Indians are an absolute power at the AA level in the state of Georgia, and they should make another run at the Title again in 2004.
