Tony Palazzo is a defensive end prospect.

Tony Palazzo is a defensive end getting a lot of attention these days. The senior from Snellville (Ga.) South Gwinnett High School has scholarship offers from NC State, Wake Forest, Clemson and Marshall.

"Miami, Georgia, South Carolina and Northwestern are also showing me a lot of interest," said Palazzo. "I really like South Carolina, Georgia, Miami, Clemson and NC State. My father played at Miami and I have always been a Miami fan. But David (Greene) is at Georgia and I have become a fan. I played with him a few seasons and he has really helped me out with recruiting. He has giving me some good advice."

Palazzo, 6-5 and 232 pounds, recorded 13 sacks as a junior and has 6 sacks so far this season.

"I have always had a knack for rushing the quarterback. This off-season, I put on some weight and that has helped me against the run. Plus, it helps in this region because everyone tries to pound the football."

Palazzo has unofficially visited Georgia (vs. South Carolina) and South Carolina (vs. Wofford). He plans on attending the Auburn/Georgia game this weekend and the Clemson/South Carolina game later in November. Palazzo camped this summer at Miami and Georgia. He bench presses 310 pounds, squats 450 and power cleans 305. Palazzo carries a 3.3 grade point average and has already scored an 1110 SAT.
