Big Georgia Receiver Talks Favorites

Anthony "A.T." Barnes is a big wide receiver prospect from Cartersville that is looking at several schools across the south.

The state of Georgia has an abundance of big wide receivers this year, and Anthony Barnes of Cartersville is one of the best in the south. At 6-3 and 210 pounds, Barnes has the ability to out muscle corners and the speed to out run most of his competition.

Barnes not only played wide receiver, but he was a standout at free safety, and he logged some time at quarterback last season as well. He is a big athlete that can play a lot of different positions, but wide receiver is his first love.

"I'd play defense if I had too," said Barnes, "but I really like offense."

"A.T." is going to have several options in front of him come next February. Who are some of the teams he is most interested in?

"I like North Carolina, Miami, Florida State, Georgia, and Auburn."

What does Barnes like about each school?

North Carolina - "I like the basketball team, and they have a great environment."
Miami - "They're always playing for championships."
Florida State - "They get good press; everyone is always talking about Florida State."
Georgia - "Everyone around here loves Georgia."
Auburn - "That's where Ronnie Brown plays."

Barnes is a basketball player that seems to like hoops even better than football, but his future is on the gridiron. He is one of the Peach State's best, and he is a player to keep an eye on this fall.
