Another Peach County Standout

Peach County product Deitrich Hudson is a tight end with a very good speed. He suffered through some back problems throughout his junior year, but still managed to haul in 26 catches for over 430yds. Deitrich names an early Top 5.

"I like Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Duke, and Tennessee. I heard from all of them," Deitrich Hudson said.

What stands out about each of his favorites?

Georgia: "One of my favorite schools. I always wanted to go there."

Florida: "I like the football program. I grew up liking Georgia and Florida."

Auburn: "I like the school. They have good education programs."

Duke: "They are my favorite basketball school."

Tennessee: "Growing up, I used to say if I couldn't go to Georgia or Florida, I'd like to go to Tennessee."

Deitrich won't have the luxury of UGA signee A.J. Bryant throwing him footballs next year, but the cupboard is hardly bare for the Trojans. They return arguably the most talented set of seniors in the state of Georgia for the 2004 season.

Besides Hudson, look for names like Darius Dewberry, Tony Wright, Fred Wright, and Larry Cox all to become household names on the recruiting circuit by the time signing day rolls around. Keeping it in the family, Cox and Hudson are brothers. With all these weapons at Peach's disposal, it's no wonder that Deitrich is confident about PC's chances next fall.

"We got the majority of our team all back, and I look for a great year."

Hudson will attend the Florida camp this summer, and is planning a few more.
