Georgia In the Hunt for 4 Star Center

With basketball's spring signing period just around the corner, college coaches are scrambling to pick up the few players remaining undecided. One of the better prep players left available is Idongesit Ibok, out of Montevedre Academy in Montevedre, FL.

"(Idongesit Ibok's recruitment) is going really well," according to Montevedre Academy Coach Kevin Sutton, saying Florida State, Virginia Tech, Georgia, North-Carolina Charlotte, and DePaul were still in the hunt.

With an ‘open period' beginning on April 7, Sutton said that schools will begin coming by and speaking with both him and Ibok. "We'll start formulating a schedule (for his official visits) then," said Sutton. Ibok has yet to take any of his 5 available official visits.

"He has a tremendous upside," Sutton said when asked to describe the four star player's abilities. "His best basketball will be in college. Like all big men, he will take time to develop."

Despite originally hailing from Nigeria, Ibok has had no real language adjustment, considering that English is a prominent language in his homeland. As is the case with some players who wait until late to finally sign, academics are not in question when it comes to the 6'11, 230 pound Nigerian, as according to Sutton, he is an Honor Roll Student for Montevedre Academy.

Expect more on the uncommitted post player in the coming weeks.
