Nicholson Has New Leader

Linebacker AJ Nicholson has a new leader after his first official visit.

Linebacker AJ Nicholson was once committed to UNC. The linebacker prospect from Winston-Salem (NC) Mount Tabor took his first official visit last weekend and he now has an unexpected leader.

"I visited Texas," said Nicholson. "It was a great visit. Marcus Tubbs was my host. I loved everything. Their players all get along and I got a great feeling inside the locker room. I already feel like part of the team. I believe I can play early there. Texas is my leader."

Nicholson, 6-2 and 230 pounds, will also visit Miami (11-24), Florida State (1-11) and North Carolina (1-18). The last visit will go to Georgia, Tennessee or Clemson. On the season, he has 171 tackles, 30 tackles for a loss, 11 sacks, 2 interceptions, and a blocked punt.
