Tuesday Practice Report

The Yellow Jackets returned to practice on Tuesday after taking a break for the Easter weekend. They are gearing up for the annual Spring Game which will take place on Saturday.

Yesterday's practice at Georgia Tech was terrible in respect to the weather. It was in the low 40's and rainy toward the end of practice. It really wasn't the best day to be out there as a spectator.

As for the pace of practice, it seems like the coaches were kind of easing the guys back into it from the 5 day lay off. The intensity was turned down somewhat and they didn't do full tackling. In scrimmage they would hit and lock up but no tackling. I would imagine that they will be pushed a lot harder come Thursday in order to get them physically and mentally ready for Saturday. And Saturday should be a real treat. For those who haven't been to a practice this spring; may I recommend keeping an eye on the following players who have stepped their games up: Chris Woods and Damarius Bilbo. I expect both will now be huge parts of our offense. Additionally watch for these up and comers on the defense: Phillip Wheeler and Avery Roberson. They've made enough plays in spring to warrant attention for possible increased playing time although neither will be starters.
