2 Leaders for LaGrange Defensive End

Braxton Kelley is a LB/DE prospect from AAA State Champion, LaGrange High School. He names a Top 5 with a pair of early favorites.

"I like Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, and Arkansas," Braxton Kelley said.

Who's in the early lead?

"Auburn and Georgia are my leaders. I like both of their campuses and stuff."

What does Braxton like about the schools individually?

Auburn: "I went down there to the A-Day game. We took a tour for the juniors and I liked the campus. They have a good coaching staff as well."

Georgia: "I grew up watching them. I have always been a Georgia fan growing up. I'm going to their G-Day game this Saturday."

What is most important to Kelley in picking a school?

"I want a great school with good academics and a good sports team. A place I can get playing time within two years."

The Grangers won the AAA Championship in 2003 despite having an extremely youthful squad. While common knowledge would lead you to believe they may have an easier run through the season in '04, don't get carried away just yet. AAAA powers Troup and Shaw will join LaGrange's region this year to form one of the most powerful group of teams in the Peach State and make their quest to repeat that much harder.

"We expect to win the State Championship again as always. I'm definitely looking forward to playing teams like Shaw though, since we haven't played since 1996."
