Dawgs Get Big Man

Wisconsin Valley Conference player of the year Dave Bliss will play for the University of Georgia.

Bliss selected the Georgia Bulldogs over the University of Wisconsin, William & Mary and Central Michigan.

Dave told the Wausau Daily Herald: "Being comfortable with the coaches and players was a big thing. The campus setting, you've got quite a lot of people, but it still feels like a family. I just liked the campus a lot."

"I'm not planning on redshirting." Bliss said. "But if something changes, I wouldn't mind doing that, either. But they say I have a definite shot of playing right away. That's exciting."

The 6'10" center dominated the Wisconsin Valley Conference by scoring 18.9 points a game (third in conference) and grabbing 13.8 boards (first). Bliss also dominated in the classroom. He will finish with a 4.0 grade-point average and is planning on majoring in sports management.
